What I offer is both editing and proofreading of any type of text. That entails reviewing of structure, formatting, content, grammar and style. The base rate for my services is 3 ISK per word.

Scientific Writing & APA style
Due to my experience within the field of psychology, I specialize in reviewing research papers and formatting according to APA style. The service and base rate is the same as described in the editing & proofreading section to the left. In addition, I will also point out methodological and structural flaws when I see them. All corrections are made in Microsoft Office Word with Track Changes.
Clean and professional
APA Style References
In addition, I offer a thorough review of reference lists and a check up on in-text citations. This means that I will look up each reference online and make sure it is properly cited according to the 6th edition of the APA style manual. This service costs 350 ISK per reference. All corrections are made in Microsoft Office Word with Track Changes.

Me, Myself & I
My name is Sigríður Ósk Ólafsdóttir, but I sometimes go by an internationally friendly version of my grandmother's name Sigridur Mar to make life easier (also, more importantly, because I think it's cool). I am currently living in Reykjavik, a mom of two children (and one cat) and working part time at the local hospital.
Education & Experience
In the last 7 years, I have obtained work experience in teaching, research, behavior analysis, scientific writing, data analyzing, editing and proofreading
Graduated in 2016 with an MSc in Health and Social Psychology at Maastricht University
Graduated in 2014 with a BSc in Psychology at Reykjavik University
Becoming an Editor
During my psychological studies, proofreading and editing became a hobby of mine. I would enjoy reading my friends' theses and make comments on what could be improved (i.e. tear them apart). What I love about being an editor, is that I am constantly learning about the usage of language as well as about the great variety of subjects that people choose to write about. Essentially, I would do this work even if no one paid me... but fortunately, people are willing to, which means that I can eat while editing.
